Essential Ingredients:

  • 2 bread slices of your choice (whole grain is the best for you)
  • 1 Avocado

Additional toppings/seasoning:

  • Sriracha
  • Hemp seeds
  • Lemon juice
  • Paprika
  • Cumin
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Arugula
  • Tomatoes
  • Bell Pepper
  • Mushroom
  • Chives/Green onion
  • Chili Flakes
  • Nutritional Yeast Hummus
  • Can of chickpea

Any of the additional toppings can be used to add some more flavor to your simple bread and avocado toast. I like to mash up my avocado in a separate bowl before adding it on top of bread, so that way I can make more of a smear that makes it easier to spread. Sometimes I'll even add lemon juice and seasonings to the smear then mix it all together so that way toe flavors are mixed together and every bite packs a punch. These toppings are great to bring for camping as well because it's easy to bring and can be used for other dishes as well.
